We were chatting the other day around the office about how great the Podcast is. Very informative and, frankly, quite entertaining. Geoffrey Grosenbach is an awesome host and we’ve all become very accustomed to his voice and his style. So it’s with great admiration and respect that I present the Ruby on Rails Podcast Drinking Game.

Take a drink when:

• Someone mentions “chunky bacon”
• Geoff mentions a skating accident
• Geoff is reporting from some kind of convention
  • Drink twice if that Con is outside the US
  • Drink thrice if that Con is on the continents of Africa or Antarctica
• The host is someone other then Geoffrey Grosenbach
• The interview subject works for 37 Signals
  • Drink twice when the interview subject is a women (roundtable doesn’t count)
  • Drink thrice when the interview subject’s name starts with David and rhymes with Heinemeier Hansson
  • Finish the bottle when the interview subject is Why The Lucky Stiff
• Geoff refers to the interview subject as “the legendary”
• Geoff pronounces the “Peep” in “PeepCode” so strongly that you jump out of your seat
• Geoff says “Alriiiiight”
• Geoff mentions messenger bags
• Interview subject teaches Geoff something new, invoking an “Ooooooooh!”
• The audio gear used for recording is a brand other then Samson
